Sales Lead Engineer (Industrial Automation)

Functions
• The Insides Sales Lead Engineer has the entire responsibility for the quote from developing the solution, to pricing to delivering the quote to the client.
Responsibilities:
• Generating leads and sales for customers with needs such as renewals, upgrades, spare parts and site engineering
• Bing a second channel for the client to gain access to our portfolio, the first channel being the CSE.
• Keeping the sales executives informed about the on-going activities at a given client.
• Negotiating pricing of offerings for orders under $50k while achieving the Gross Margins target of 40%
• Working directly with Inside Sales Team Leader in negotiating sales over $50k.
• Principal Proposal Specialist is responsible for the proposal process regarding large, complex issues including IT services, solutions, design or manufacturing services. Project manages the bidding process from initial contact through contract signing, with particular emphasis on establishing the trading terms. Responsible for validating/endorsing the technical solution. At the highest authority levels, signs off on bids and proposals.
Requirements:
• The Insides Sales Lead Engineer has strong knowledge in our portfolio of products, good knowledge of sales techniques and has good technical writing and oral skills. Minimum 4 years of proven success in technical or commercial activities
• Ability to work as part of a sales team to ensure the quality of the quote to meet the client's specifications
• Experience working with an internal team throughout the sales process
• Technology Insight - A deep understanding of the technical solution and the internal process
• Process Automation Services - A knowledge and understanding of the predominant products and solutions that are most important in the market place.
• Organized - Works in a systematic manner to ensure tasks are performed efficiently with a minimum use of resources, time or effort.
• Communications - Excellent oral communication to ensure good understanding of the client needs and requirements.
• Technology expertise - Strong appreciation and understanding of IOM key current and emerging technologies.
• Decisive - appropriately pursues business objectives with a bias for action and getting things done.
• Change Resilient/Adaptable - highly organized, disciplined, and handles complex, ambiguous or stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Communication - Strong communications skills, both written and oral. Ability to synthesize client ideas.
• Planning - Strong knowledge of quote organization and requirement to deliver timely all requests.
