Position: Sales Manager
Responsibility • Works with Sales and Marketing to define opportunities and needs for application technology; • Develops and provides Sales and Marketing with applications related sales tools (presentations, application summaries and manuals, economic evaluations, survey forms, proposals, etc); • Actively participates in the sales process for all applications accounts; • Formulates and executes appropriate applications market development programs for existing or new applications; • Prepares technical proposals, plans and leads field demonstrations; • Identifies and meets application training needs for Sales and Marketing; • Interacts with the Application Equipment Managers for Western Europe and/or Germany, for the specification of required application process equipment, provide input to the design, manufacture, installation, and start up, and optimize equipment performance; • Leads in the planning, execution, and documentation of the Proactive Application Safety Review Program for each application installation, starting with the proposal phase and ending with the customer acceptance step; • Communicates all relevant activities to the Director of Applications, fosters real-time communications with the organization via personal contacts, Lotus Notes and other communications tools; • Provides input for advertisement and publicity related to application and other promotional activities, including brochures and catalogues; • Assist in the organization of technical conferences and seminars, including exhibitions and trade fairs, and takes an active role in presenting technical papers.
Experience • Graduate in technical (preferable mechanical / chemical education); • Familiar with heating, melting, etc. in the non-ferrous (aluminum, copper, lead) and iron industries and/or the glass and related (cement, lime, etc.) industries/ chemical process for Wastewater Treatment, various oxidation processes using pure oxygen in the chemical industry, and/or Fermentation in the Pharmaceutical industry/welding gas application technology, including property of every welding gas application of welding mixture gas, such as Ar, O2, CO2; • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Business to Business, preferably technical (industrial oriented) products; • Minimum 2 years of experience in gas sales or similar businesses; • Minimum 3 years of management experience; • Native region language(s) and fluency in English; • Good attitude for negotiation; • Customer Focus is a must, self-managed, stress resistant and flexible; • Teamwork and collegiality; • Ability to travel; • Driving lisenses availability, minimum 5 year driving experience.
