Big company is looking for Senior Field Advisor
Accountabilities of this position include:
Providing field technical assistance on new and/or revamped refinery unit checkout and startups.
Providing field technical assistance and field support for development activities in commercial refinery units. Following required safety procedures.
Providing feedback including suggested improvements on Company process designs.
Troubleshooting and recommending solutions while also addressing improvement and innovative problem solving. Coordinating commissioning activities.
Transferring technology to customers operating and engineering staff.
Reviewing emergency and normal operating procedures with customer shift operating personnel.
Advising customer operating personnel on the establishment and maintenance of the various process variables necessary to achieve safe and efficient operations.
Collecting and working up unit operating data and laboratory results.
Monitoring and advising on process operating conditions, during test runs.
Advising customer personnel during the performance of various activities routine to the long term operations of a Company process unit.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have: Basic qualifications: BS in Chemical Engineering.
A minimum of 6 years experience in the petrochemical, gas processing or refining industry.
Ten years of directly applicable field experience may be considered in lieu of an engineering degree.
Experience with at least one of the following UOP technologies (Catalytic Reforming, Hydrocracking, Hydrotreating, FCC, Merox Treating, HF Alkylation, Paraffin Isomerization, Adsorptive Separations (Parex and Molex), Xylene Isomerization and other Aromatics processing, (Cumene and Ethyl Benzene) is preferred. Additional qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. • Preferred candidates will have relevant experience in Olefin, Cumene, or Phenol processing technologies.
Flexibility to work hours that are dictated by customer requirements and assignment scope.
Ability to work in a physically challenging environment.
Ability to commit to a 36 months of fulltime travel before transfer. • Ability to interact with customers on a global basis.
