Our Customer - a foreign drilling Company, operating in Ukraine, is searching for Senior Petroleum Engineer. Locations: Kiev, Ukraine
Education, Skills and Experience Required:
• Petroleum Engineering background
• Between 5 and 15 years experience – experience with international companies a plus
• Strong and demonstrated leadership skills
• Demonstrated skills in managing complex projects
• Ability to build productive relationships with local staff and relevant state authorities
• Able to function in a team environment; both local team and extended team in the foreign head office
• Strong technical background with familiarity with modern technologies
• Experience in conducting international procurement and tendering processes
• Must be a self-starter requiring minimal levels of supervision
• Experience in mentoring younger team members
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English
Job Description:
• Reports to the VP of Operations
• Generation and execution of field development plans
• Preparation of daily and monthly production reports – i.e. draw down tests, PBU tests, decline curve analysis etc.
• Well and field surveillance acquisition and analysis
• Early identification of well problems
• Recommendation of remedial action
• Regulatory compliance in matters related to field development
• Maintain wells files
• Prepare well work over and well test programs along with appropriate AFE’s
• Preparation of tenders for needed equipment and services
• Provide Petroleum engineering support to the drilling and work over groups
• Coaching and mentoring of less experienced engineering staff
• Continually improve technical skills
• Compliance with corporate HSE policies
• Act of field supervisor of well operations when needed
