We are looking for a Senior Petrophysicist to work in Petroleum Engineering department in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Senior Petrophysicist will be the company expert on petrophysical matters. The successful candidate will be part of an integrated geo-science team working closely together with geologists, the reservoir engineering group and the corporate development team.
Key responsibilities
· Cover drilling operations including planning, execution and evaluation of logging operations in vertical, deviated and horizontal wells.
· Contribute to and supervise field studies including conventional and special core analysis, log analysis, saturation modeling for input to reservoir models, rock mechanics and formation damage studies.
· Maintain petrophysical log data base.
· Oversee logging contractors and their performance.
· Mentor less experienced employees.
The applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
· Strong technical, analytical, communication and project management skills
· Proficient in both written and spoken English
· Academic background of Bachelor degree level or higher in a relevant subject (engineering, physics, geology)
· 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
