Position Business Development Leader
Responsibilities • Sales, business development, project business management. Responsible for achievements noted below • Management of large capital projects from beginning to conclusion as the business lead, involves financial, schedule, customer relationship, organization of key internal teams, approval or rejection of project cost overruns, changes, contract management • Management of on-site business development territory, including current and active projects, with largest steel, chemical, refining, manufacturing customers in Russia • Responsible for developing relationships through contract conclusion and project management as business lead • Management of internal project teams • Management of government relationships in on-site geography • Responsibility for developing tools and processes to support functions noted above. Expected results: • Successfully lead major from beginning to completion as the business lead for a project • Entails managing the customer and internal teams to insure contract requirements are met, changed as needed, project returns and budget are met, opportunities for future business are captured • Secured two new large on-site projects. Includes developing relationships, negotiating contract, working with engineering team to develop project scope and managing project through to completion • Develop customer pipeline for on-site projects in key region of Russia - greater than 20 targets • Develop business and sales tools working with internal departments • Develop internal project network - future local business development, sales leaders in key regions.
Requirements • Higher Engineering Education • Fluent English (willing to take additional English lessons upon hiring) • Cryogenic or chemical engineering • Project management experience • Sales or business development experience or aptitude • Understanding of MS Word, Excel, PPT, Project and other database tools • Finance skills (basic) • 5 years experience in chemicals business in a sales, business development or project management capacity • Industrial gas business experience considered a plus but not a requirement • Basic finance skills - ability to read P&L, calculate costs and project returns • Solid communication skills • Ability for frequent business trips on-site. Requires 50% travel, mostly in Russia, but EU will also be needed at least annually.
