Design & piping engineer
Responsibilities
• As defined within the work process the plant design engineer starts from the project definition inputs (project expectations meeting minutes, EDM, PID....) to develop and to monitor the following key outputs to the project team : -1- plant definition lay-outs (site lay-outs, equipment arrangement lay-out, piping lay-out, building lay-out...) and plant detail design. -2- Prepares foundation functional layout and other input for detailed civil engineering;-3- collects information from equipment suppliers and other specialists for cable routing, pipe racks, supports; -4- specifies manual valves and other small in line equipment;
• Prepares engineering specifications for mechanical detail engineering and mechanical site construction works in accordance with approved design and safety standards;
• Works closely with other project team members to coordinate design efforts also in order to eliminate duplication and reiterations in the work process;
• Assists drafting specialists in drafting activities related to design and construction;
• Follows up incoming and outgoing drawings with subcontractors;
• Works with the project team to ensure that the design requirements are incorporated into various project documents such as construction drawings and P&ID's.
Requirements
• Education: Mechanical Engineer;
• At least 5 to 8 years experience in plant design work preferably in the chemical process industry;
• Technical knowledge: Strong technical skills in piping and structural designs;
• Technical knowledge: Needs special focus for safety issues, quality standards, ISO requirements; - Creativity and innovation to find low-cost, high reliability solutions to specific problems;
• Proficiency in use of drafting/design software (e.g. AUTOCAD/AUTOPLANT ) and other office softwares is required;
• Russian is your mother tongue and strong English language skills;
• Strong interpersonnel skills : team player, good commuicator , not afraid to stand up and talk/defends his ideas;
• Job experience in an Russian project environment is a must.
