Big multination oil production company is looking for Junior Inspection Engineer.
Activities • Ensures that the Asset equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, heaters, piping, PSD, pipelines, tanks, storage tanks, buildings, structures, lifting equipment and etc.) are in safe operating conditions and fit for service, for established periods, with reference to the design basis; • Perform and supervises proper implementation the inspection programs on the basis of the strategy adopted in compliance with the COMPANY rules and the relevant regulation; • Managing the Inspection team (Contractors) on site and ensure that this team is suitably sized with adequate skills; • Fill up and keep documents (passports) concerning operation and repair of the Asset equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, heaters, piping, PSD, pipelines, tanks, storage tanks, buildings, structures, lifting equipment and etc.); • Gives assistance to Inspector Engineer in terms of Inspection (Inspection program, violations of the Industrial Safety requirements); • Prepare the Inspection Plans (written scheme of inspection), Scope of Work for tenders for Services contracts; • Ensure that Equipments registers, Inspection Plans scheduling, Inspection Reporting, Remedial actions are managed with the SAP and updating in time and followed up; • Ensure that Inspections and Non Destructive Testing are fully implemented (by himself or contracted companies) in compliance with the relevant Safety Rules, Inspection Plans, Technical Procedures and Standards; • Draws up, update the specific instructions and procedures for inspection; • Carries out technical examination of Asset equipment together with persons responsible for their operation, technical condition, and issued the permission for operation in accordance the relevant regulation; • Prepare, review, endorse the Inspection Reports and provide to Inspection Engineer, including analysis of inspection findings, fit for service assessment, recommendation for remedial actions; • Provide the recommendations for corrective or preventive actions (modification of inspection plan, material selection, design of equipment, coating, cathodic protection, operating conditions, corrosion inhibition); • Ensure that repair (welding, coating) / modifications / procurement /fabrication of the equipment comply with the relevant Regulation, Company rules, technical codes and Norms; • Ensure that the strategy for corrosion prevention and control (corrosion inhibition, cathodic protection, corrosion monitoring specifications) and corrosion monitoring program are fully implemented and assess the results; • Participates in technical investigation and analysis of reasons of violation, accidents, incidents and misadventure during operation of the equipment; • Participates in the Inspection budget preparation and ensures that cost control of operations is undertaken; • Contributes to improving skills, expertise and feedback; • Recommends improvement solutions for optimizing inspection tasks.
Qualifications / experience required • Engineering degree. Mechanics or Materials Engineer (or equivalent) with emphasis on mechanics engineering, metallurgy, welding, corrosion, Non Destructive Testing; • Minimum 1 or 3 years professional experience in inspection related activities, in the Oil & Gas industry; • Knowledge in Russian Codes and Regulations, Industrial Safety, International Codes, Standards relevant to the inspection (design, construction and operation of facilities) discipline; • Knowledge of English language is a plus; • Physically and psychically fit for work on arctic weather condition; • Computer literacy is an advantage.
