ACTIVITIES
- Witness cargo arrival at the Yard by rail / truck
- Checks availability of suitable handling equipment at the Yard
- Give directions to Yard personnel for off-loading & handling operations
- Makes sure that all wagons / trucks are off-loaded within 1 day after arrival
- Monitors the compliance of operations in terms of HSE
- Monitors the compliance of vendor's recommendations for handling & storage
- Reports on continuous basis to Logistics Coordinator on the operations going-on at the Yard
- Makes regular inventories of materials being stored at the Yard
- Gives instructions to the Yard for storage space management
- Makes sure that Customs cargo is transferred out of Customs warehouse as soon as cleared
- Gives instructions to the Yard to prepare materials for shipment when materials are required on site
- Controls that materials are properly lashed / secured on truck when they leave the Yard
- Collects, signs and archive all the shipping / storage documents linked to the activity
- Organizes access, visits and surveys of personnel at the Yard
- Takes part to the review / approval of the invoices received from the Yard for their services
