Large international Oil and Gas Company is looking for Site Environmental Coordinator
General Description
This position will monitor all site environmental activities at all construction site and camp locations and support the HSE Team. Position will report to HSE Site Supervisor for day to day activities with dotted line to Regulatory Affairs Team Lead.
Key functions:
•Championing Incident and Injury-Free (IIF) engagement and implementation across all locations
•Support Site HSE Team
•Assist in developing and implementing Site Specific HSE Plans
•Ensure compliance of site with Environmental requirements: e.g. waste management (the temporary storage of waste, marking on the containers, logging, completion of the Bills of Lading, loading, transportation, tracking storage of hazardous materials, etc.); check the availability of sorbents and metal pans to collect leaks
•Checking the condition of the construction technique in order to meet maximum permissible exceedence limitations - maintenance and repair in time, no smoke formation, leaks, etc.
•Check the state of temporary construction camps (sanitary protection zones of wells, water treatment plants and sewerage, waste management; logs, etc.)
•Conduct environmental orientations as appropriate
•Develop measures of derivation of rain water from construction sites
•Keep under control and develop erosion preventive measures
•Keep under control the state of access roads, etc.
•Monitor the state of the environment during construction
•Prepare reports to the state supervisory bodies
•Keep under control the industrial environmental monitoring
•Participate in Contractor activities (e.g., tool box talks, job safety analysis, safety meetings, etc.) and be a visible HSE leader
•Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
•Conduct inspections of Contractor’s facilities, work practices, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and CPC requirements.
•Compliance with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) ensuring all interactions with governmental officials are compliant with FCPA requirements
Requirements:
•Min ten (10) years previous project works (5 years in Oil & Gas international projects and 5 years Environmental experience)
•Experience in RF and/or R of K or other CIS locations
•Experience in mentoring national workforce
•Must have a methodical and well organized approach to the work environment
•Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface with colleagues at all levels
•Must have experience with working in an integrated team environment
•Must be able to deal with short time frames and handle multiple competing priorities
•Proactive thinker
•Must be able to conceptualize processes and systems to meet project needs and effectively implement same
