Mission • He/She acts as a Project Leader responsible of the activities pertaining to the discipline within a project, in compliance with the assigned budget and the project schedule, assuring the cost optimization. • The Project Leader leads a team of Group Leaders and Engineers appointed to the project and reports to the Project Engineering Manager for the peculiarities of the project and to the Head of Department for resources and the quality of the deliverables.
Key activities and responsibilities • To prepare and discuss with the Project Team (Project Director/Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager) and the Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life. For specific topics involving high level of expertise, Project Leaders are assisted by Group Leaders; • To coordinate the overall operation of Design and Drafting activities of the Piping Group and the high quality and timely completion of their work within the established man-hour budgets; • To update and submit to the Head of Department the requirement of manpower according to the project schedule; • To conduct technical training to all piping personnel working on the job, in order to promote their professional growth; • To organize meetings with all the piping personnel working on the job, in order to inform them about the progress of the project activities; • To have the standard drawings amended and update when necessary; • To ensure that the Contract requirements are implemented through the established job specifications, standards and work instructions; • To review the critical items from design point of view; • To review with the other Project Leaders for all the needs and technical aspects which can affect the schedule of the job; • To collect and update the Progress Report of all activities performed within the Piping Discipline related to a specific project; • To approve all piping deliverables; • To prove “feedback” to the Head of Department concerning problems arising from application of standard methods and work instructions; • To exchange experience with all Group, for new Design and Drafting technique.
Requirements • Fluent English and Russian language skills; • Availability to travel within and outside Russia; • University degree in Engineering or Technical Sphere (or equivalent culture); • 5 year experience in the role in industry; • Knowledge of Russian state and industry standards; • Good interpersonal skills; • Strong strategic & analytical skills; • Strong reporting skills.
