SubContract Engineer

Anotech ENERGY is a subsidiary that belongs to Alten S.A which is a French Engineering consulting group that counts over 15 000 employees in 18 countries.

This position is based in Russia. The SubContract Engineer will be involved in a major Oil & Gas EPC’s project.

Activities:

• Prepare, with support of other department when appropriate, all correspondences to the subcontractor and answer each and every correspondence from subcontractors, seek advice to subcontract Manager and Site Legal Representative when appropriated;
• Ensure that all contractual obligations stipulated in the subcontract are complied with by each party;
• Monitor and expedite, as necessary, subcontractor administrative submittals;
• Negotiate each Variation order, change order issue to or from Subcontractor in timely manners, in line with contractual requirement and in best interest of PROJECT;
• Apply all PROJECT Site subcontract Administration Procedures;
• Formalise resolution of dispute or disagreement and reservation from parties in order to ensure contractual protection to PROJECT;
• Ensure that proper paper and electronic filing of subcontract administration is done;
• Ensure that Productivity report and work load report is made available for adequate analysis;
• Follow up action on all in coming letters and any subcontractor Minutes of meeting;
• Ensure that all in coming correspondences from subcontractor are responded in timely manners;
• Study all justifications given by subcontractor for any change or claims or variation request;
• Maintain regular and fair contacts with his Site Subcontractors counter part;
• Comply with PROJECT Subcontracting procedures;
• Constant improvement of subcontracting administration in order to minimize risks and extra costs;
• Ensure that the confidentiality of all subcontract information is strictly maintained;
• Perform for each subcontract some cost analysis and statistics.

Qualifications and Experience required:

Graduate Engineer with minimum 6 years experience in oil and gas industry;
Fluent in English (speaking and writing);
Fluent Russian is mandatory;
Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
