International oil and gas company (our client) is looking for Tank Farm Area Superintendent
Large Project in the South of Russia (Novorossyisk)
Requirements:
Minimum ten (10) years previous Construction project experience including general superintendent;
Good English language abilities, both spoken and written;
Must have interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to interface with colleagues at all levels;
Must have experience working in an integrated team environment which is multi-cultural, multi-national, and includes accommodating language differences;
Must have experience in managing EPC lump sum contracts;
Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to utilize, review/analyze Contractor’s routine reporting of Construction progress and status, and also to support reporting of same to Company;
Computer user skills in Microsoft Windows environment using Microsoft Applications; ability to utilize; Project’s computerized communication, reporting, and document management systems;
Proactive thinker.
Responsibilities:
Work pack planning, preparation and work release, and acceptance of completed works;
Daily compliance with Operations and Project Permit to Work system in keeping with ‘green field’, ‘brown field’ area designations;
Ensure Contractors and sub-contractors are working at all times to latest IFC design documents / drawings;
Attend or conduct weekly contract / project progress meetings, ensuring adequate minutes of meetings are kept;
Address RFI/RFC from Contractor;
Raise and issue Instructions to Contractor as needed;
Document Contract issues that could lead to claims;
Walkabouts for Safety/IIF performance/compliance;
Schedule / participate in Management IIF Walkabouts for Worker engagement;
Coordinate / ensure QA inspections / welding examination and preparation of documentation;
Be familiar with and ensure conformance with Project written policies, plans and procedures;
Conduct Construction walk-downs with Contractors to confirm completion of work packs and systems / sub-systems; develop and clear punch-lists;
Drive turnover of completed systems, and supporting documentation.
Operational Excellence / Organizational Capability:
Promote a professional atmosphere and relationships between various segments of the project team;
Promote Project’s Incident and Injury Free culture building campaign to help achieve the goal of IIF construction;
Monitor and control daily work activities on site to ensure well-being of workers and safety of facilities;
Manage and assist the Contractor (lump sum) in order to ensure orderly planning and execution of work activities to achieve schedule and cost objectives;
Ensure construction activities conform to approved IFC design documentations;
Ensure good coordination between Contractor and Company Quality Control processes and Quality; Assurance inspection and documentation activities, to ensure turnover to Operations of conforming facility and supporting documentation;
Comply and promote compliance with Company and Project specific procedures/processes to ensure success.
