Location: Luanda, Angola
Role Overview: The Valve Technical specialist is involved in the purchase and repair of valves for the offshore facilities (G.Plutonio). Proactive and effective communications across multiple functions such as the Technical Support Team, Procurement, and offshore facility is mandatory to be successful. His duty is to reduce downtime within the valve workscope.
Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extension
Working Conditions: 75/21 in shared apartments (10hrs per day, 6/7 days per week) - 91/16 in single apartment (10hrs per day, 6/7 days per week)
Indicative Day Rate: Negotiable commensurate on candidate experience
Role Activities:
Review all valve related work orders
Review PMRs and tune as required
Review valve data sheets, identify spare valves/spare parts, create stock/assign stock to work orders
Review stock levels
Technically evaluate documentation associated with the purchase of valves to ensure all purchases comply with correct standards and specifications
· Analyse valve failures and where necessary answer technical queries and propose any modifications required to improve productivity and safety on offshore assets
· Assist with the development of a valve maintenance strategy, purchasing and repairs.
· Keep detailed log of document movements. Provide reports and analysis of jobs undertaken.
· Assist Valve Quality Specialist where required
· Build a sound relationship with the Offshore/Onshore Team
· Operate from Luanda with a geographically spread team and limited connectivity to FPSO
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational background
High School diploma is a minimum in this position.
Computer Literate (Word, Excel, Outlook or equivalent)
Comfortable providing Reports.
Experience (years and nature)
Five years of valve maintenance/ Technical methodology
Knowledge of valve related industry standards
Other
Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and creative thought processing skills.
Ability to multi-task, coordinate, plan
Demonstrated experience working in a diverse team successfully
English language fluency
