Position
Warehouse & pipe yard transportation supervisor
Function
• Plans, organizes, directs, and controls transportation activities of the designated Company warehouses. Ensures safe transportation of equipment and materials and compliance with the required storage conditions as per the recommendations of the original equipment manufacturers;
• Fills out and submits warehouse documents to record material movements such as cargo manifests or waybills;
• Prepares and submits required reporting documentation. Timely informs the requisition originators and other concerned parties about newly delivered equipment and materials by preparing and distributing electronic deliveries and allocations reports.
• Organizes material handling operations between Company warehouses and designated areas, if required, takes part in material handling operations, handling by hand or using specialized hand-operated or motorized equipment;
• Organizes transportation and movements of equipment and materials within the oilfield to support continuous operations of various departments and groups;
• Participates in planned inventories of equipment and materials.
• Checks regularly that the health and safety requirements are complied with at the warehouses and open storage grounds under his supervision, takes appropriate actions to remedy revealed anomalies;
• Checks in accordance with the approved schedules that the primary fire-fighting means are in good operating condition and available in the warehouses under his supervision. Regularly checks the condition of the warehouse buildings, equipment, transport and tools, initiates their timely repair or replacement;
• Fulfils his responsibilities, described in the applicable section of Company Waste Management Plan;
• Plans activities of his subordinates, schedule work assignments, direct their work and set priorities on business matters, relative to his functional responsibilities;
• Supervise and check the completion of work assignments by his subordinates;
• Request and receive required materials and documents, relative to the execution of the functional responsibilities of the Material Man and his subordinates;
• Enter into business relationship with the officials of other companies on business matters relative to the warehouse operations and in the competence of the Material Man;
• In accordance with the established procedure submit to his management proposals, relative to his work, improvement of the working environment, health and safety, labour management and his work place;
• Ensures that the Company HSE policy is complied with at all times; promotes safe & responsible work practices.
Requirements
• Five-year business or engineering degree or three years of practical experience in similar positions;
• Good computer skills (good knowledge of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point);
• Fluency in the English and Russian languages, good writing skills;
• Valid certificate for electrical lifting platform operation;
• Good knowledge of SAP/ SALSA system concerning materials follow up;
• Valid rigger’s certificate;
• Valid car driving license – category “B”.
