Assignment description:
Weight Engineer Drilling Module
Overall responsible for the monitoring of Contractor weight control to ensure optimal design solutions and early corrective actions. Work closely together with the engineering group to co-ordinate weight engineering activities.
• Ensure contractors are performing weight engineering according to procedures and best working practice
• Identify associated risk and opportunities, and take part in performing high level of risk assessment
• Liaise with company weight control group to ensure consistent weight engineering across the complete project
• Assist contractor to produce high quality weight reports and calculations
• Manage and coordinate weighing of the Contract Objects
• Perform manual checks of engineering weight and CoG information to supplement company discipline weight checks
Competence requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience from relevant execution phase projects, preferably with international experience
• Extensive knowledge within Statoil governing documentation
• Experience with follow-up of engineering/construction contractors
• Co-operational and communication abilities
• Structured, systematic and target driven with well-defined goals
• Multi discipline understanding
• High HSE and ethical standards
• Ability to handle high work load
Geographical Office Location: Norway, Oslo /UK/ Asia dependent on location of contract to be awarded end 2012
