Anotech ENERGY is a subsidiary that belongs to Alten S.A which is a French Engineering consulting group that counts over 15 000 employees in 18 countries.
This position is based in Russia. Welding Inspector will be involved in a major Oil & Gas operator’s project.
Activities:
• Ensure that welding jobs are devoid of visual and structural defects.
• Check for cracks, spatter or undercuts.
• Make sure the correct procedure is applied and that the proper equipment is also used.
• Conduct stress tests and various assessments to detect any faults.
• Carry out the visual inspection before any welding activity, monitoring and recording of weather conditions at the site.
• Check-up of materials for compliance with drawing and specifications
• Monitoring of welding parameters, while the welding job is in progress.
• Check for conformity as per specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for carrying out RT (Radiographic Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) for readiness of the line for mechanical clearance.
• Review NDT reports from subcontractors and compile them for preparing test packs.
• Prepare daily reports about fulfilled inspections.
• Occasionally on request of Supervisor fulfil coating, earthwork and civil inspection.

Qualifications and Experience required:
Graduate engineer with minimum 6 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
Fluent Russian is mandatory.
Good communication skills, able to work in a multicultural environment.
