A Leading Multinational Oil Company is looking for Workover Superintendent for projects in Caspian Area, Middle East and North Africa. PRINCIPAL DUTIES / DECISIONS
• To make assignments to workover foreman and follow up to ensure they are carried out.
• Communicate and execute procedures and policies of company`s operations and engineering staff.
• Coordinate workover and completion equipment acquisition.
• Help with bidding of services and tracking costs.
• Entry of daily workover information and costs into computer system.
• Determine effective manpower levels for workover activity/supervision. If needed, locate consultants and approved all the invoices generated by them.
• Instruct/lead workover staff in methods to add value to the workover, re-entry, completion and maintenance activities.
• Keep Manager informed about all special problems or circumstances that may arise.
• Implement operations in such a way as to promote and maintain a safe work ethic with employees and contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 10 years of hands on workover and/or rig foreman experience, preferably with an oil and gas company.
• Proven track record of safety improvement and safe work practices.
• Have knowledge and experience in all phases of workover and completion work.
• Knowledge of cementing, electric line and slick line, coiled tubing services, snubbing, stimulation, and fracturing.
• Experienced user of computerized daily activity and cost reporting.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• To supervise the execution of approved projects adhering to prognosis and estimated costs.
• To ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with policies set by the company and all regulatory agencies.
• To maintain accurate records of material transfers, inventories and surplus equipment.
• To deal in an effective manner with landowners, vendors and other operators as well as company staff, such that a general environment of good will is promoted.
• To evaluate his staff's performance and make recommendations regarding training, transfer and promotion.
