A large international company is looking for professionals to one of the biggest oil & gas project in Russia and invites candidates for Legal Advisor (Contracts and Dispute Resolution) position.
Requirements:
▪ Higher professional education in Law
▪ 5+ years of previous legal work experience under the speciality
▪ Solid understanding of company law, contract law, insurance, banking, IT and other laws relevant to the oil & gas industry, litigation/arbitration practice
▪ Professional knowledge of the Russian and international legislation
▪ Broad corporate and commercial outlook; constructive and pragmatic, skilful negotiator and mediator
▪ Oral and written English and Russian languages (including business and legal vocabularies)
▪ Ready to relocate
Main responsibilities:
▪ Providing legal advice within the competence of the Contracts & Dispute Resolution Department of the Legal Directorate
▪ Provision of legal advice to the management of the Company, in order to safeguard and enhance the legal position of the Company in its dealings with government, shareholders and other business relations and to protect and promote the Company and its shareholders in the conduct of their affairs and activities in pursuit of their objectives.
▪ Participating in the development and implementation of measures for improving the contractual, financial and labour discipline in the Company;
▪ Participating in the development, coordination and execution of contracts and local regulatory acts with regard to functional responsibilities; review contracts (agreements) and provide conclusions on them
▪ Participating in the meetings of Tender Boards as needed as a representative of the Legal Directorate
▪ Participating in dispute resolution with third parties in regard to sphere of competence (contractor claims, supervision of formal (international) dispute resolution processes e.g., mediation, arbitration, foreign court proceedings)
▪ Exercise general legal analysis and provide follow-up of documents related to the Company’s current business
