The Mariner Project is a heavy oil field development on the UK continental shelf. The project is planning for a DG3 in November 2012, EPC contract awards in December 2012 and first oil end of 2016. The concept consist of a large PDQ platform (Process, Drilling and Living Quarter), topside weight approx. 31 000 ton, a jacket substructure, a ship shaped FSU for storage and offloading and infield pipelines and cables. Gas for power generation and light oil for dilution of the heavy oil will be imported. A new operation centre will be established in Aberdeen.

Mariner Project is a heavy oil field development on the UK continental shelf. The project is planning for a DG3 in November 2012, EPC contract awards in December 2012 and first oil end of 2016. The concept consist of a large PDQ platform (process, drilling and Living Quarter), topside weight approx..31 000 tonne, a jacket substructure, a ship shaped FSU for storage and offloading and infield pipelines and cables. Gas for power generation and a light oil for dilution of the heavy oil will be imported. A new operation centre will be established in Aberdeen. The Bressay project is very similar to the Mariner projet but the DG2 decision i expected next year in 2013.

Assignment description: Project description: The Heidrun Future Development Project is in the concept selection phase. The project will define and engineer six different concepts that will be compared and evaluated. The concepts consist of a new main process system for treating of two gas new gas fields and one new oil field including separation, dehydration and compression to export pipeline condition. A low salinity water treatment plant for EOR in the Heidrun reservoir is an additional concept that is evaluated. In total six different concepts will be evaluated and documented prior to selection of concept for FEED study. The Heidrun platform has capacity for installing about 7500 tonnes of new equipment modules. The new gas and oil fields are operated by three third party oil companies. Alignment with Heidrun operational organisation shall be maintained.

Assignment description: Project description: The Aasta Hansteen field is located approximately 300 km west of Bodø on 1300 m water depth in harsh weather conditions. The field development consists of a floating production, storage and offloading(FPSO) platform, with living quarter. The platform hull is a SPAR concept with integrated condensate storage. The condensate will be exported through offloading to shuttle tanker on a regular basis. Rich gas export will be through a new pipeline, Norwegian Sea Gas Infrastructure (NSGI), to Nyhamna, approximately 500 km distance from the Aasta Hansteen field. The Aasta Hansteen topside is an integrated process, utility and living quarter platform. The gas is processed into rich gas for export to Nyhamna, and undergoes dehydration, hydrocarbon dew pointing and export compression prior to export. Condensate knocked out from the gas is stabilized for storage in the hull storage tanks and off-loading to shuttle tanker. Produced water is cleaned and disposed overboard to sea. The platform is self-contained with all utilities including power generation. The Hull is a Spar type with steel catenary risers pulled in to topside through the monopole. The Spar Hull is designed for a total of 16 riser slots, where three initially will be used for production, one will be used for gas export and one slot used for umbilical riser.
